As we were backpacking for so long, we decided to go with a Eurail Train Pass. She told us we would save money by booking a 60 day pass, which she said was flexible, and could use at any point over the 3 months abroad. ONLY when we arrived at our first stop, did the customer service rep explain that our pass did in fact expire in 60 days, leaving us with not booked transportation for 1/3 of our trip.

Only after countless emails and calls did she finally say they'd pay for the extra train tickets, and that we should "consider ourselves lucky because that doesn't happen ever". Ridiculous, considering we clarified many times that we would be covered, and it was her fault alone that our tickets were messed up.

Walked in there twice and was ignored by 3 reps the first time and 2 the next. Not impressed.

All in all, I believe we had to make 6 trips in to go and see her. Every time we went in to have questions answered, she told us she'd "look into it, and send us an email". Every email we received seemed to lead to more questions, rather than answers.

I was happy with that until today when my wife proceeded to book an air Canada flight with Flight Centre .........

after my daughters had initially discussed their travel plans with Flight centre i went there alone the next day and paid for the tickets. I also subsequently went alone and purchased travel insurance for them and no questions were asked about whether I am authorized to deal on behalf of my daughters. Subsequently when I went there to get a copy of the invoice for a changed travel plan ( to submit an insurance claim) on privacy grounds they refused to provide the information. If they are receiving money they do not have privacy issues!!!

Only after she had booked and accepted payment for our initial passes with Eurail, did she mention that she wouldn't be helping us book the OVER 15 INDIVIDUAL TRAIN RESERVATIONS, as it wasn't covered in her initial commission, and she was also not familiar with the website.

Jayme at Flight Centre emailed me regarding cancellation and told me Flight Centre was able to roll it into an Air Canada credit ( minus approx. $100 per ticket which would equal about a $575.00 credit).

Not impressed at all. Reason: I had to cancel 2 Air Canada flights earlier this August.

All I can say is, like any travel agency, your customer service/trip satisfaction depends on your travel agent. I made the mistake of going to the first available one. DO YOUR RESEARCH. Make sure you're getting an experienced agent, especially when booking a long trip as I did.

The agent I (unfortunately) ended up with was Shay Fraser.

Not impressed, leaving for California in a week, and just found out today my car rental is only for 4 days and not 5. When I booked my trip on Black Friday in the office with a travel agent, I was only going to book a rental car for 2 or 3 days but was told it was cheaper to book it for 5 days! I thought that was great, so have planned the trip accordingly. Got my paperwork today and noticed that the car rental only showed 4 days, when I called the center, all I got was a "Sorry, the paperwork shows 4 days". So if you are going to book here, make sure you go through the paperwork with a fine tooth comb before you sign anything! Won't have my business again.

She at no point discussed that she was inexperienced, not well-traveled, and not familiar with any of the websites she booked many of our tickets through (specifically the train tickets).

Today my $500 plus credit is only $200.00 total. I don't like being lied to.

I talked with her on phone to ask details about this credit also.
